I’m a Brooklyn-based writer focused on global health and social justice. Full-time, I work for a medical technology company that makes medical equipment for hospitals in the developing world. Part time, I attempt to write.
I’ve spent the bulk of my career on the communications and advocacy side of global health – everything from strategic planning to speechwriting to media and public affairs campaigns. For five years, I consulted for organizations such as USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Merck for Mothers, along with several social enterprises – focused primarily on maternal health and the role of business in international development. Before that, I spent some time in interfaith activism. I graduated from Washington & Lee University with a degree in English.
